Oil from grape seeds
The grape seed oil contained in our products is extracted from the fruit grown in our vineyard. Grape seeds are one of the by-products of winemaking. As we did not want to waste their beneficial properties, we decided to press them for oil. Depending on the content of polyunsaturated fatty acids, vegetable oils can be divided into three categories: drying, semi-drying and non-drying. Grape seed oil contains large quantities of unsaturated fatty acids (e.g. linoleic acid, oleic acid) and saturated fatty acids (palmitic acid and stearic acid).
Grape seed oil is a drying oil. This group of oils is characterised by their lightweight texture; this means that the grape seed oil does not leave a greasy film on the skin. Therefore, it is ideal for oily and problematic skin. It is highly compatible with the natural sebum secreted by the skin and is not comedogenic.
